Evan Trent Carr went to eternal rest on August 14, 2018. Instead of focusing on his death, we celebrate his life…his kind, sensitive character, compassion, sense of humor and sarcasm, the peace he found in nature, love of dogs, pride in his job and most importantly his abundant love for his daughter.
Embrace that Evan lives on in our hearts, memories, stories and especially in his daughter, Ashton. She is truly his greatest legacy.
As a proud member of the Masonic Hinkle Lodge #310, Demning, Indiana, Evan formally held the position of Junior Deacon. He shared in membership at Hinkle Lodge #310 with his father, Floyd, and grandpa, Phil Cole.
Evan is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Carr, daughter Ashton, mother Terry Griffo, brother Eric (Jessica), niece Stella, father Floyd (Cathy Clark), step-brother Chris Hines (Angela), grandmother Midge Johnson and grandfather Charles Rickard (Mary Ann). He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love him dearly. Evan’s beloved grandparents who preceded him in death are Louetta Cole, Howard Johnson and Nelson Carr. Memories of Evan will linger with his friends and those he positively influenced on his journey.
A memorial celebration of Evan’s life is planned for August 27, 2018, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN.
Visitation is 1:00-3:00 p.m. Service begins at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations for Ashton’s future educational needs. Checks may be made payable to Terry Griffo, 8660 Champions Drive, Indpls, In 46256

To one Carr family to another: Even though our families have not been close we are still family and when one family hurts the whole family hurts. We cannot even imagine the pain you are going through but just know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.. With Love, Don Carr Sr, (so if you don’t know that would Uncle Don, Great uncle and Great Great uncle), and family love y’all.

Evan was a friend that I had known for many years and had reconnected with this past year. Evan was sweet, funny, mild, inappropriate, talented, kind. He wanted to do right by himself and those around him so badly. I wish him nothing but peace in his final resting place. To his family: I pray that you may find some solace in knowing how much he truly loved you. We spoke many times about his beautiful daughter and how that was the best thing that he ever did. Peace be with you.

Evan, our time together was short, but it was worthwhile, and you will never be forgotten. You were a friend when I needed one most. I will never forget that. Rest easy my friend.

Evan and I have been best friends since the age of 5. He was a sweet soul with a funny sense of humor. I will forever miss his jokes, his laugh and his sarcasm. He loved his family and daughter more than anything. Many prayers and peace be with the family.
Love,
Bobbi

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Evan. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
